CITY GRIT Hospitality Group is looking to hire 2-3 reliable, coachable people for its multiple different Concepts. We own and operate smallSUGAR, il Focolare Pizzeria, and CITY GRIT. smallSUGAR is located in the heart of The Vista in Columbia, SC directly behind it's sister restaurant CITY GRIT in the City Market development. We are a café that serves a variety of bowls, salads, tartines, and sandwiches. This is a great opportunity for up and coming cooks/chefs interested in working alongside 2023 James Beard finalist chefs Sarah Simmons, Aaron Hoskins and Elie Yigo.
Pay is variable depending on hard and soft skills. Applicants that pass through screening/interviewing will bet set up to "Stage" (paid skills test) to determine knowledge levels and team work capabilities.
Requirements for this position consist of:

- Ability to adapt to changes with a growing company
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts
- smallSUGAR shifts - 6:30am-2:30pm & 8am-4pm
- il Focolare shifts - variable, hours listed below. Pizza making experience is a plus!
- CITY GRIT - 1pm-9pm, hours listed below
- Weekend Availability (Friday-Sunday)
- Ability to stand to 8-10 hours per shift
- Ability to work at a consistent work pace
- Lift up to 50lbs
- 2 years of Restaurant/Culinary experience
smallSUGAR Hours: 7am-3pm Daily Monday-Sunday
il Focolare Hours: 4pm-9pm Sun-Thurs, 4pm-10pm Fri/Sat. Prep begins at 11am daily.
CITY GRIT: 4pm-8pm Wed/Thurs, 4pm-9pm Fri/Sat. Prep begins at 1pm. More details available.
