Job description
The University of Southern Indiana (USI) and the College of Nursing and Health Professions is searching for a Curriculum Coordinator to organize, implement, and supervise curricula and educational programs related to the Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) grant. This is a federally funded grant position through June 30, 2023. Funding for each subsequent year up to June 30, 2024, is contingent on satisfactory progress and continuation from HRSA.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
  • Liaison across multiple departments on USI campus to share GWEP curriculum and initiatives.
  • Interface with the Clinical Simulation Center in efforts to promote faculty utilization of gerontology simulation equipment, telehealth platforms, and gerontology equipment.
  • Identify and attend career fairs.
  • Work with USI advising centers.
  • Report evaluation data to GWEP evaluation manager.
  • Supervise USI students.
  • Facilitate and organize meetings.


Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Nursing home experience preferred.
  • Healthcare and gerontology knowledge required.
  • Must be highly dependable and punctual.
  • Strong written and verbal skills required.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Leadership required.
  • Must observe and accurately document student performance on skills checklists and rating scales.
