Job Description

Data Scientist – Supply Chain, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Erlanger, KY. Analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement in Supply Chain processes, including but not limited to Inventory Optimization, Distribution Network and S&OP processes. Understand and reconcile data accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Develop custom data models to apply to data sets. Create compelling visualizations that can tell a story, inspire change and allow for end consumers to easily garner insights. Support users and provide maintenance in Business Intelligence and data visualization tools. Use predictive modeling and machine learning to increase and optimize forecasting, scheduling costs and other supply chain business outcomes. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field and one (1) year of related work experience.
Must have experience with/in:
  • Data gap strategy;
  • Using statistical computer languages (including R, Python and/or SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets;
  • Data visualization creation and maintenance;
  • Querying databases using statistical computer languages; and
  • Documenting and maintaining code source control.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Up to 5% domestic travel required.
