Central Health Management is seeking a qualified Director of Nursing for a full-time salaried and benefited role in Southwest Virginia. This opportunity has bonus opportunities and exceptional benefits.

Previous experience in a Director or Assistant Director of Nursing in a post-acute care setting is essential. Demonstrated leadership, compassion, and dedication are key to success in this role.

As the DON, you will be responsible for:

• Directing the nursing program, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
• Serving as a clinical liaison between medical staff and building adminstration,
• Overseeing hiring, firing, and development of nursing staff
• Communicating with families, residents, and physicians as needed
• Providing input on policies and procedures
• Participating in creating resident care plans and ensuring they are followed
• Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations

For consideration, you must have the following Qualifications:

• Registered Nursing license in the state of Virginia in good standing
• Ability to successfully pass a state of Virginia State police background check
• Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a post-acute care setting
• Leadership traits enduring staff and administration to focus on patient safety, comfort and care
• Bachelor's of Nursing from an accredited Nursing program
• Vaccinated for Covid 19 and Flu viruses
• Ability to teach and serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff
