Job description
Responsible for the design and development of CAD drawings within our CAD based furniture design and manufacturing software. Drafting new assembly and part drawings, creating bills of materials, establishing customer facing presentation style drawings for each project to meet hotel furniture brand requirements.
Job responsibilities:
- Draft/design new products in CAD based software called Microvellum
- Create Bills of Materials
- Supply purchasing department with bills of materials
- Make changes to existing drawings and prototypes based of field review
- Work with management and engineering to make product improvements
- Look for materials to enhance cost savings while maintaining product quality
- Create styles sing part commonality and production efficiencies
- Review computer generated patterns for accuracy and completeness
Experience desired in CAD, Inventor, or Solid Works specifically in product development. Self-starter, able to work independently, attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
