As the leader of Environmental Health and Safety, you will be in a unique position responsible for planning, implementing & maintaining EHS programs in two locations (Houston & Pearland).

AS AN EHS LEADER, YOU WILL:

• Provide EHS expertise to create, improve, and deploy standards including environmental compliance, safety & health policies, recordkeeping, tools and best practices.
• Maintain EHS performance measures and advise organization on trends, focused improvement needs, etc.
• Implement initiatives to improve EHS culture and integrate EHS best practices.
• Lead EHS recordkeeping requirements for permit and regulatory compliance (i.e. CAA, SARA, RCRA, OSHA 300, etc.)
• Coordinate operational environmental permit applications, compliance fees and required recordkeeping.
• Facilitate EHS training, drills, and group meetings (safety committee, project improvement teams, emergency response, etc.) to ensure compliance with state, federal and corporate requirements.
• Support teams with root cause analysis for incident and near miss investigations to understand root cause and drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate processes for appropriate hazard controls through active participation in risk assessments, while also proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to the environment, equipment, processes, chemicals, etc.
• Review design, equipment, methods, and materials to assure safeguarding of employees and property and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Provide emergency response support.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or related
• Five years minimal of experience as a practitioner in an Environment, Health and Safety role, with applied knowledge of relevant EPA, OSHA, state regulatory (TCEQ) and industry standards
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• Microsoft Suite
• ASP, CSP, CHMM preferred
