Electrical Assembler
Job description
The Electrical/Mechanical Assembler will work closely with other assemblers to build capital equipment primarily used in the metal forming industry. You must be able to read blueprints, know how to use a variety of hand and power tools, and able to stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for using equipment such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, crimping tools, cutters, and any other equipment that will assist in the satisfactory performance of duties.
· Build equipment based on accurate and efficient interpretation of drawings, schematics, blueprints, and sketches
· Test and inspect components for uniformity and quality
· Maintain a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers
· Responsible for good housekeeping of individual work area
Requirements:
· Experience in the assembly of industrial electrical components, wiring of instruments and units, and the use of all equipment associated with the satisfactory performance of duties.
· Knowledge using mechanical equipment associated with performance of duties.
· Minimum of 3+ years’ experience
· Ability to use, read, and interpret drawings, measuring scale and tape proficiency
· Ability to work in a team or solo environment.
· High school diploma or GED required
Plus:
· Trade school or certificate in electronics, engineering, manufacturing technology or a related area
· Understanding of the metal forming and wire forming industries
· Experience with material handling equipment
· Knowledge of PLCs, servo motor drives, switches, sensors, relays, motor starters and other industrial devices used in machine control
Additional Notes:
Performs other assignments as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or higher supervisor/s.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
