Job description
SUMMARY
Support manufacturing operations and related departments to ensure and continuously improve quality, efficiency and scrap reduction through process control, continuous improvement, analytical problem solving and new product introduction. Primary responsibility is creation of manufacturing instructions, fixtures, jigs and special tooling. Work directly with production to resolve problems and opportunities for improvement. Participate with cross-functional teams in projects such as new product introduction, new process development and CAPA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work directly with production associates to respond to technical issues, material problems and efficiency concerns
- Respond and resolve abnormalities identified via quality notifications and/or issues identified on the production floor.
- Assist with authoring rework instructions for both internal and external quality related issues.
- Interpret customer drawings and specifications to identify process, tooling and standard work document needs
- Support new product introduction (NPI) from preparation actions to completion of first time build process and associated documentation
- Create standard work documents to support production and facilitate sound consistent assembly operations using the MS Office Suite, CAD software and any other resources required
- Add and maintain work order routing comments to ensure all procedural changes are cascaded to applicable departments
- Design and fabricate molds and fixtures to ensure process control and improve process cycle time.
- Support the implementation of new processes including training, initial monitoring, verification of effectiveness and sustainment
- Monitor internal quality data and provide information to demonstrate internal performance trends and identify areas of risk
- Perform periodic quality and process audits
- Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
- Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
- Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- ASTM Fâ2412â2005, ANSI Z41â1999, or ANSI Z41â1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas
- Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses in specific areas
- Hearing protection, in specific locations
- Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Active IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification required within three (3) months of hire.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
JOB SKILLS
- Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

- Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams.
