Overview:Jensen Hughes is seeking early career engineers with Nuclear consulting experience in Syracuse, NY, West Chester, PA or Chicago, IL areas. Winter 2022 and Spring 2023 graduates are welcome to apply and learn Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Engineering. Our team provides safety and reliability consulting to the nuclear industry and serves customers located throughout North America. We perform specialty technical services in a wide variety of engineering projects, which range from day-to-day nuclear power plant operation to cutting edge research and development in all areas related to plant safety
Responsibilities:
The PRA Engineer will join a dynamic team of nuclear consultants located nationwide. The successful candidate will perform probabilistic risk assessments (PRA) and engineering analyses, and develop technical documentation to support the safe operation of nuclear power plants. As a consultant, a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals, ability to learn quickly, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written presentation skills are key.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline required; Mechanical, Nuclear, or Electrical Engineering preferred
Prior experience in the power industry or with nuclear technology (e.g., U.S. Navy Nuclear Program) is a plus
Excellent communications and writing skills
Proficient in the use of EXCEL and/or ACCESS database tools to track/analyze data in support of various risk analysis tasks; MathCAD experience a plus
