Job description
Capital Sanitary is looking for an Equipment Specialist to join our team. We're looking for someone who is able to demonstrate janitorial and sanitation equipment (sweepers, extractors, scrubbers, etc.).
No experience? No problem! We'll send you to training schools with our manufacturers, and you'll have access to our local manufacturers' reps for one-on-one training and guidance.
This position is a stepping stone into our sales program for the right, motivated individual.
Job Tasks
- Contact targeted K-12 schools, colleges, universities, health care facilities, industrial and manufacturers and other market segment end users to arrange an equipment demonstration and/or meeting to discuss gym floor refinishing.
- Demonstrate or explain products, methods, and services to influence customers to purchase equipment and refinish flooring.
- Maintain records and report demonstrations, quotes, and sales in CRM.
- Transport and assemble equipment necessary for demonstration or floor refinishing.
- Lead gym floor refinishing projects with sales staff.
- Train sales staff on equipment so they can become knowledgeable to present products to their customers.
- Must be able to interact professionally with vendors, customers, and corporate personnel.
- Assist service department as required and assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Excellent decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Above average communication skills
- Able to work independently with good organization and time management skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Valid drivers license required with good driving record
- Intermediate computer experience with MS Office programs
This position works Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some overnight travel necessary.
Wage dependent upon experience. A pre-employment background check is required.
