Career Opportunity:

Silgan Dispensing Systems is searching for an ESG Data Analyst to be responsible for working with global team members to identify and gather relevant data for ESG reporting. The ideal candidate will organize goals tracking and validate the data for internal and external reporting. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team!

How you will impact Silgan Dispensing Systems:

• Prepare for, attend, engage in and follow up from internal project meetings.

• Provide managers and leadership with timely updates on data projects and timelines.

• Contribute to project planning timelines and deliverables for data projects.

• Support calculation and analysis of key environmental metrics to develop forward thinking sustainability, operational, and financial strategies.

• Support ESG data gathering, compilation, validation, analytics and reporting.

• Demonstrate working knowledge and competence with data analytics tools such as MS Excel. Higher level knowledge of data analytics methods and coding a plus.

• Support the design, development, and deployment of interactive reports and dashboards with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI or similar tools.

• Review and perform quality controls for data sets and identify issues or anomalies in accuracy, completeness, reliability and timeliness.

• Perform all other duties as needed and assigned and deliver high quality products on time.

  
  

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability related field – data analytics, environmental science, etc.

• Minimum of 3-4 years of project management experience; ESG and/or utility data experience; data analytics and visualization

• Demonstrated ability to work with other team members to gather data, understand data product requirements, convey key questions and considerations, and propose viable and cost-effective solutions.

• Familiarity with ESG data management systems

• Understanding of GRI and other ESG management protocols and guidance, as well as CDP reporting requirements

• Understanding of statistics and data analytics.

• High degree of proactiveness, drive, enthusiasm, and energy.

• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of and/or passion for energy efficiency, sustainability, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data fundamentals in manufacturing, specifically plastics industry.
