The role you’ll contribute:

The Executive Director of APP Operations provides strategic direction and APP leadership to the PHD-PCP enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) of PHD-PCP, co-creates the vision and designs the strategic APP initiatives to propel growth and transform quality across the continuum of care for all primary care value-based initiatives. Leads efforts to build and execute new care delivery models in collaboration with PHD-PCP Leaders and Medical Directors. Develops distributed leadership structures and success metrics which simultaneously drive results and develop APP leadership. The Executive Director of APP Operations provides leadership to PHD-PCP Departmental Triad Governance structure of Physician leader, Advanced Practice Providers (APP), and Operational leaders, who prioritize and execute on operational tactics at the practice level driving excellence in clinical outcomes and creating multidisciplinary approaches to quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Oversees APP engagement, alignment and APP supply and demand for practices. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, treating everyone with dignity

• Leads the strategic development, implementation, and maintenance of strong, comprehensive clinical

• Ensures and fosters a high level of collaboration within a highly matrixed team environment to coordinate patient outcomes, exchange information, and resolve problems.

• Affirmatively provides counsel to executive management team discussions and action plans related to service changes, improvements, new service/program offerings inclusive of all operational and strategy decisions.

• Responsible for APP coaching and engagement strategies including APP recruitment and promoting programs which enhance APP satisfaction. Actively engaged in efforts to recruit APPs who will support the mission, vision, values, and purpose of AdventHealth.

• Provides leadership, supervision, guidance, and development for APPs, articulating and demonstrating an expectation for continuous quality improvement, as well as continually supporting and exhibiting AdventHealth service standards.

• Collaborates with the clinical leadership within PHD-PCP and the operational leadership to ensure that appropriate APP policies and procedures are operational to ensure excellent clinical performance.

• Establishes and executes standards and policies to ensure clinical excellence while driving clinical quality medical care outcomes. Works collaboratively with senior management, patient care leaders, and managers as well as staff to accomplish goals.

• Develops and leads APPs growth, professional development and assessment of performance

• Develops and leads in collaboration with leadership and physician teams strategies that optimize PHD-PCP as a preferred employer of APPs

• Ensures adherence to APP practices on professionalism, quality and safety issues, and excessive or inappropriate utilization of resources.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Accredited program completion for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant-Certified

• Experience with designing effective clinical best practice patterns to enhance quality outcomes

• Experience in evaluating clinical outcomes and an understanding of healthcare information technology

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA)

• Minimum of five years APP leadership experience within a medium to large multi-specialty physician group or hospital/health system

• Previous quality or clinical management experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Current, valid State of Florida APRN or PA-C license
