Position: Facility & Grounds Maintenance

Location: Irondale, AL

Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:00pm

Rate: $14.50/hour

Job Description: Responsibilities and Essential Duties including but not limited to the following as well as any other duties as assigned by supervisory staff:

  • Maintain exterior of building to include but not limited to grass cutting, weeding, cleanups, trimming, mulching and planting, gutter cleaning, power washing, and painting.
  • Maintain internal areas of facilities, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, window washing, sweeping, mopping, painting, sheet rock and spackle.
  • Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition, organize custodial closets and work spaces at all times.
  • Facility repairs as assigned by Supervisor, through work order program, verbally, or written.
  • Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for pickup.
  • Assists with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
  • Maintain working condition of all company assigned equipment, including vehicles.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training as required.
  • Monitor own time card to ensure correct recording of hours worked, and use of benefit time.
  • Adhere to all Agency policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality policies, practices, and laws.
  • Report all incidents, including allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation, injury and other reportable incidents immediately upon discovery.
  • Cooperate fully with investigative processes, and provide complete and accurate information.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D

Requirements:

  • 18 years or older.
  • Pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check.
  • Valid non-probationary(provisional) driver’s license.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen, physical exams, and TB test prior to working.
  • Successful completion of mandatory Orientation; including American Red Cross First Aid/CPR, Preventing Abuse and Neglect, Crisis Management and more.
