Firmwide Allowance Controllers - (Alteryx/Tableau Specialist) Analyst
Job description
The Risk Controllers team is responsible for the integrity and validity of the risk data disclosed in the Firm's external financial reporting, inclusive of quarterly earnings presentations, 10Q/K, and stand-alone legal entity financial statements. The team is also responsible for the firmwide allowance for credit losses governance and framework as well as the calculation of the wholesale allowance for credit losses. The team is expected to deliver insightful, high-quality analytics to senior stakeholders across Risk Management & Compliance and the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to enable well informed decision making.
As an Alteryx/Tableau Specialist your job will be to partner with peers to develop solutions using Alteryx and Tableau to assist in driving integrity and reporting of the allowance for credit losses (ACL) across the Firm's wholesale portfolios.
This position requires a candidate who has knowledge and technical expertise of Intelligent Solutions including Alteryx and Tableau.
Job responsibilities
Partner with peers to develop solutions using Alteryx and Tableau- Work to combinate multiple disparate solutions into a consolidated solution
- Develop procedures and support a robust control environment
- Conduct testing, coordinate change management
- Play a significant role in ensuring the integrity of the wholesale allowance results that are disclosed externally and providing insightful analyses to senior management
- Actively participate in review and challenge of the firm's range of forecasted economic scenarios, including the central case and several hypothetical downside scenarios
- Analyze output of credit loss forecasting model in context of changes in the macroeconomic environment
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and ensure sustainability of operating in a strong controls environment
- Support quarterly and ad-hoc analyses covering allowance variables, portfolio changes, macroeconomic scenario forecasts, and emerging risks
- Take advantage of a hybrid work environment (60% office /40% remote) that provides the opportunity for in-office collaboration and the ability to work remotely.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related subject matter
- Excellent Alteryx/Tableau and other Intelligent Solutions Skills
- 0-3 years of experience with a risk management, controls, or data analytics background
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong executive presence and judgment to gain credibility and respect amongst senior stakeholders
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in understanding, interpreting, and implementing regulatory requirements including governance on a global level
