We are an independent Gastropub & Cocktail Bar in Lincoln Park and pride ourselves on great food, drinks and service. Our vibe is relaxed but refined. If you have a passion for the hospitality industry, we are looking for a FOH Lead team member who would like to grow with a company and eventually transition into a managerial role.
As FOH Lead, you will have to have full knowledge of leading and assisting all team members as needed as well as being comfortable taking the occasional bartending or serving shift.
Starting pay as Floor Lead is $15.00 per hour plus tips. Non-lead shifts (bartending or serving) are $12.50 per hour plus pooled tips. We are looking to Transion this position to salary in as little as 6 months, once training and addional shifts are added.
Responsibilities include:
- Organize, run and supervise smooth and efficient daily shifts (including opening and closing shifts), and ensuring an exceptional guest and employee experience.
- Supervise staff during service and ensuring food, drink, and service quality with all guests to company standards.
- Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
- Prepare for and conduct pre-shift and other employee meetings
- Follow-up with General Manger with any service or guest related issues.
- Resolve or diffuse any guest or employee issues in a calm and respectful manner
- Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience with both bartending and serving , craft cocktails a plus
- Minimum 1 year experience as a lead or manager
- Open Availability - Afternoons and evenings with Weekend Brunch hours to follow.
- Valid Food Handlers, allergens & Bassett Certification. Valid Mangers Certificate a plus.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be legal to work in the U.S.
- Age 21 and over.
