About the Role
As a General Maintenance Associate, you will impact the lives of our residents and staff through maintaining the grounds, facilities, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner assuring a successful maintenance program at all times.
What You'll Do
As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through the accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry and mechanical as directed.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
- Service heating and cooling units and systems.
- Maintain roadways, parking areas, driveways, etc. by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc.
- Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions and ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
What You'll Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:
- A High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) so as to have the knowledge to complete work orders. This entails reading, writing and following instructions.
- Age 25 with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record so you can be insured on the Buckner insurance and drive company vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to use tact and courtesy in interactions with coworkers, residents, resident families, visitors and vendors.
- Working knowledge in the use and repair of general maintenance equipment and supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the amazing qualifications and experiences listed above, if we had our say, we would also look for:
- Vocational school completion in general maintenance and one year related experience.
- A willingness and desire to build and maintain great working relationships with your coworkers, vendors and the community.
