The Help desk Support Technician is responsible for resolving IT service desk tickets, as well as the installation, and support of computer hardware and software platforms.

Responsibilities

· Provide support for Windows 10-11 desktops, laptops, and workstations

· Unpacking and prepping systems for installation

· Removing and recycling old systems

· Troubleshooting, correcting, and maintaining system's operational ability

· Provide technical support for business applications

· Provide technical support for network copiers and printers

· Provide technical support for telephones, cellular devices, and PC peripherals

· Maintaining and updating inventory and asset management systems

· Provide technical support for the resolution of user reported helpdesk tickets

· Documentation of tasks, follow procedures, and established workflows

· Maintain confidentiality of systems, information, and data stored, accessed, and processed on the network

· All other duties as assigned

Technical Competencies

· Ability to Install, image, configure, and deploy PC operating systems

· Ability to evaluate and interpret user support issues and develop appropriate solutions

· Ability to install, test and troubleshoot both hardware, and software applications

· Ability to track, correspond, and document the resolution of end user IT service desk tickets

· Ability to learn and support new systems, hardware, software, and applications

· Industry knowledge of business applications and systems utilized by the organization

· Continuous improvement of technical and analytical proficiencies

· Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers

· Personable and able to work independently or in a team setting easily with others at all levels

· Ability to handle difficult individuals and remain calm when employees or clients are confrontational

Education: Associates Degree in Technology, A+ Certification, or equivalent support experience

Experience: 0-2+ years of experience

Must be able to perform frequent repetitive tasks and operate a computer for 80% of the day. Able to lift/carry 20 to 50 pounds such as computer equipment. Work may require occasional weekends, evenings. Work requires 1+ days and as needed onsite support of Valdes offices out of town.
