Information Management (IQM) Specialist – Breese, Illinois

Opportunity

We are currently looking for a full-time Information & Quality Management Specialist based in Breese, Illinois. The role involves working with large datasets and will report to our IQM Lead. This role requires 40 hours per week.

This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions but is not limited to:

• Enter data generated within the Acuity breed to wean and wean to market sites.
• Build and modify reports required by personnel responsible for program and project coordination.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry and validation of all data.
• Work with team members to continuously improve departmental procedures and processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality management system standards.
• Communicate effectively with members of the team regarding management of departmental initiatives and progress towards reaching goals set forth in the annual operating plan and personal SMART goals.
• Manage inventory of DNA samples and assist with routine sample submissions to an independent lab.
• Understand production cycle of the pig to the point necessary to identify and sort bad data from good data.
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate would ideally possess the following qualifications and experiences:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Associates Degree preferred but not required.
• 1+ years of experience working with large data sets and/or data entry or similar roles and responsibilities.
• Proficient with Numeric Data Entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Great team player and a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
