Come be a valued member of the Critical Application Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Team. This person will be responsible for Engineering, Integrations, Testing and 24x7 Production Support of Messaging Platform like Solace and IBM MQ. This person will work closely with vendor teams that support the infrastructure, application development and production support teams underlying causes of system issues, facilitating resolution and identify trends that continuously improve the customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day operations and provide 24x7 support for Messaging Platforms under CAI SRE.

  • System administration and provide support for IBM MQ & SOLACE.

  • Lead Service Restoration bridge calls during high tier incidents or infrastructure changes.

  • Troubleshoot issues to establish the root cause and identify solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineering, vendor partners and application support teams to identify underlying causes of system issues or patterns and implement solutions to improve overall system reliability.

  • Implement system monitoring and alerting and dashboards to detect and analyze issues faster.

  • Implement and automate manual activities and tasks.

  • Participate and conduct Disaster Recovery Testing.

  • Contribute to continuous service improvements by maintaining standard methodologies.

  • Innovative and ready to try new concepts without fear of failure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology,
  • 3+ years of experience working in distributed systems and infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of working experience in Middleware products such as IBM MQ and SOLACE.
  • Experience with network and security concepts such as load balancing and routing, TLS, TCP, UDP, IP etc.,
  • UNIX shell scripting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good communication and Interpersonal skills.
  • 2+ years of strong programming experience with building applications in Java or Python.
  • Experience with any server and application performance monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace etc).
  • Experience in open-source technology like Open Tracing and Open Telemetry.
  • Good problem-solving skills, hands on experience in handling customer issues.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
