Zimmerman Metals, Inc. seeks a highly motivated, skilled and energetic Large CNC Lathe Machinist. A successful candidate has the ability to work in and support a positive team environment.

JOB SUMMARY

• Setup and operate a Large CNC Lathe/Manual Lathe.
• Setup and operate manual machine tools in support of CNC operations.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Work with supervisors and Project Managers to develop parts that meet customer’s needs.
• Work with Programmer to resolve programming problems during the machining process.
• Measure a variety of precision machined parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances.
• Large Manual and Large CNC Lathe/Large Mill Work.
• Meet tight deadlines when needed.
• Proficient at installing, indicating, and use of work holding fixtures in support of machining set-up.
• Proficient at setting tools per set-up sheet and program requirements.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques in support of 1starticle and production inspections.
• Maintain an organized work area that meets Zimmerman Metals Quality Management System.
