NEEDED: Licensed Practical Nurse

Nursing workforce to include Patient Care Services and Primary Care in support of all inpatient, outpatient, critical and acute care areas.

LOCATIONS:

• Primary: 3701 Loop Road East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404-5099
• Additional: 206 Vaughan Memorial Drive, Selma, AL 36701

STATUS: Full-Time (FTE), Part-Time, and PRN

HOURS: be able to be scheduled for the tours listed below:

• Monday – Friday
• 0700 – 1530
• 0730 – 1600
• 0800 – 1630
• 1530 – 2400
• 2400 – 0800

• Saturday – Sunday (possibly scheduled)
• 2400 – 0800
• 0800 – 1530
• 1530 – 2400

• There is also a compressed tour that may be scheduled
• Monday – Thursday
• 0730 – 1800

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides skilled nursing care to patients in Acute Care, Primary Care Clinics
• May perform approved Medical Center procedures that are described in the Licensed Practical Nurse Act, Vocational Nurse VA Qualification Standards.
• Demonstrates increasingly more independence in his/her management of patient care Demonstrates competence in caring for adult psychiatric, medical, and geriatric patients.
• Under the supervision of the nurse manager, the LPN works closely with others as needed in the Acute Care Medical/Surgical areas and Primary Care setting.
• Functions both dependently and independently with guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• U.S. Citizen
• Shall be currently certified or licensed, as appropriate, in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• All certifications and licenses shall be fully valid and without restriction.
• Current AHA accredited CPR card
