MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

This is a full time, hourly position

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
• Diagnosing repair issues and correcting them
• Repairing structures as necessary within the scope of certifications or licenses
• Reporting of work conducted using the company software and hardware

EXPECTED OUALIFICATIONS

• Proven maintenance experience to include basic carpentry, drywall, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, siding, and decks
• Knowledge or ability to install LVT, snap lock, and carpet tile flooring
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
• Valid Maine Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation
• Should be comfortable working on ladders
• Basic computer skills to include email, company software, and smartphone
• Strong organizational and follow up skills
• Eye for detail
• Professional presentation and attitude
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually, or as a team member
• Strong time management skills

Basic hand Tools such as hammer, tape measure, pliers, and screw drivers, etc. are the responsibility of the technicain at all times during employment. Power tools or specialty tools needed to perfom work assigned will be provided by DIRIGO Management. Transportation to and from the worksite is the responsibility of the technician. DIRIGO Management is not required to provide transportation to the work site but MAY provide a company vehicle.
