Summary:

Trimlite is an international manufacturer of decorative doorlites, stile and rail doors and a wholesale distributor of doors, millwork and building materials. Our growing manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator.

The Material Handler reports to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. Specific duties of a Material Handler include loading and unloading of trucks, movement of material throughout the warehouse, receiving material correctly, completing appropriate documentation, and applying safety practices in the use of equipment and the handling of the product.

Responsibilities:

• Safely move material in and out of warehouse
• Properly label and check in product
• Put incoming inventory away and restock shelving
• Perform daily check of equipment for safe use

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in production/manufacturing environment

• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments
• Able to process information and learn best practices
• Positive attitude in busy environment
• Commitment to safety

Skills:

Material handler should have skills in equipment use related to material handling, such as forklifts and pallet jacks

• Material handler should apply common sense to understand and carry out instructions and work independently.
• Good mathematical skills & know how to apply it to counting product
• Ability to Read, understand & interpret different documents
• Ability to safely operate equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
