Medical Biller
Job description
We are looking for a competent billing specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
- Issue monthly patient statements
- Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
- Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
- Work through unpaid or denied insurance claims and
- Send delinquent accounts to collections
- Perform general clerical duties: Picking up the phone, and scheduling appointments
Skills
- General knowledge of different insurance billing and coding such as PPO and HMOs.
- Knowledge of ICD 10 codes
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
