DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Lead-Space Planner and in coordination with Sr. Planners, this position coordinates all details of move activities where moves are initiatives of Health. "Details" include coordination with IS, outside moving companies, and leading departmental "move champions" through the move process. Upon completion of moves, the Space/Move Coordinator assists with updating of plans and departmental space listings in the Facilities Information Maintenance (FIM).

Separately from move activities, the position assesses current space usages in all Health owned and leased buildings on a routine schedule for the purpose of updating FIM. Uses professional facilities management concepts. Applies organization policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

The Space/Move Coordinator exemplifies excellence in customer service, communication skills and project management. The position requires precision both in setting schedules and with timely execution for multiple projects. Despite that precision, the job requires a resilient and flexible character and ability to change course as needed and problem solve on the go.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate Degree in business, facilities, construction, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to communicate with diverse group of customers.
  • Ability to survey and gather information from diverse customers.
  • Ability to support and take direction for complex moves.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, and large database software systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience working in Health care.
  • Knowledge of UCSD Health policies and procedures.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $53,600 - $111,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $25.67 - $53.45

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
