Job description

Nurse Practitioner for private substance abuse treatment facility to provide medical services to clients, prescribe medications, assess overall health and refer patients to other healthcare professionals based on their needs. The practitioner will work closely with treatment staff to ensure full range of care for the client. Duties to include but not limited to:

• Performs examinations within prescribed guidelines
• Provides direct client care for acute and chronic illness and disease, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, therapeutic and corrective measures, and health promotion and preventive care.
• Provides primary health care, including medical diagnosis, treatment, prescription, patient counseling, and in their specialty area(s), outside consultation.
• Provides diagnoses and management for patient medical care and illnesses based on history, examination and appropriate tests.
• Initiates, performs, and interprets screening for laboratory tests, and prescribes medication in accordance with established protocols.
• Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s problems and needs.
• Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis based on patient’s condition.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment. Refers patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
• Works closely with the care team
• Updates ERM upon completion of each visit as to assessment and billing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
