Lakewood Health System has an opening for a full-time OB Technician!

The Obstetrics Technician assists the surgeon, physician, anesthesia provider or the labor and delivery nurse in the operating room and/or delivery room during procedures. They ensure instrumentation for procedures and deliveries is clean, sterile and in working order. They also observe and maintain a sterile field at all times. Other duties include assisting staff to care for patients and families outside the delivery areas. Such as answering phones, call lights, and other tasks assigned.

This is a full-time position working 64-80 hours per pay period, rotating 12-hour shifts and includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

• BLS certification required

• Previous Scrub Tech, EMT, Nursing Aide or similar experience preferred.

• Adaptable, accurate and alert during procedures

• Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks, be self-motivated and a quick thinker, able to adapt to any situation.

• Being a team player is essential
