Office Staff Nurse Job Description
- Provides general nursing care to pediatric patients. Obtain health history, chief complaint, and vital signs. Perform allergy shots as needed. Assist in minor medical procedures as needed. Administers immunizations.
- Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers medications, and monitors treatment progress and patient response.
- Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Promotes wellness by providing patient teaching about medications and communicating physician advice and/or instructions.
- Documents accurately into patient’s electronic health record.
- Performs administrative, clerical, and equipment duties as assigned, including but not limited to cleaning, stocking, and inventory.
