Job description

We are looking for a pastry chef to join our team at the Historic Hill House and Farm. We are a boutique country inn / Bed and Breakfast / Event Venue with a casual fine dining restaurant located in the Sam Houston National Forest between New Waverly and Cold Spring on 80 acres. Just 45mins from the Woodlands or Huntsville. The restaurant focuses on refined southern cuisine. Our menu changes seasonally. There are many opportunities for creativity and growth within the company as the property continues to gain notoriety and expand capacity. We host a multitude of events ranging from specialty coursed dinners to BBQ festivals. We are looking for the right fit to enhance our dining experience for our guests.

• The candidate we are looking for must have :
• a high school diploma or GED. Texas Food Handlers Card Required.
• Must be familiar with all phases of food preparation and related techniques.
• Must be able to get along with other staff members and work as a team.
• You must have 2-3 years prior kitchen experience.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Mobility and dexterity to move/lift large, heavy objects up to 100 lbs.
• Be able to stand and walk for periods of up to 8 hours
• Be able to work in a hot environment and/or close-quarters
• Have manual dexterity to include using kitchen utensils and handling food items.
• Must have reliable means of transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
