Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for all areas related to the payroll and related accounting process. The Payroll Administrator has a range of duties that include processing bi-weekly payroll, preparing weekly certified payroll, handling 401K deferrals and matching funds, collecting timecards and reviewing for accuracy, calculating wages, and ensuring employees receive their pay on time, commissions, prevailing wage. Additionally, the Payroll Administrator will record the payroll related entries and reconcile all payroll and benefit related accounts. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for generating various reports and recording necessary payroll related accruals, worker’s comp analysis, and identify key cost indicators and handling expense reimbursements.
To be successful as a Payroll Administrator one should be able to carry out all tasks with high attention to detail. Ultimately, Payroll Administrator should be highly organized , be a multi-tasker, team and customer service oriented and possess excellent math and communication skills.
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
The Payroll Administrator will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Also, the Payroll Administrator must have at least 3 years of hands-on payroll experience which includes certified payroll and prevailing wage. Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.
