PM Line Cook

We are looking for an organized line cook who can handle all aspects of food preparation in a small eatery. The line cook's responsibilities include keeping food preparation areas clean, grilling, cooking, and frying foods, and stocking kitchen and food supplies.

To be a successful line cook, you should have good time management skills as well as the ability to multitask during busy periods. You should also be prepared to stand for long periods of time.

Line Cook Responsibilities:

  • · Preparing food to member specifications.
  • · Prep ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes.
  • · Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner.
  • · Grilling, cooking, and frying foods.
  • · Set up and clean station according to protocol
  • · Maintain clean workstation area including kitchen equipment, tables & shelves.
  • · Rotating food and stamping the time and date on the food in the coolers.
  • · Cleaning food preparation equipment and areas.

Line Cook Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 Years on-the-job training in food preparation and sanitation techniques.
  • Full and part time opportunities are available
  • · Strong communication, teamworking, and customer service skills.
  • · Manual dexterity and a good sense of taste.
  • · Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
  • · Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • · Ability to read and follow cooking directions
  • · Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • · Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy material.
