We have several excellent opportunities for Team Leads in our Goodyear, AZ facility.

Summary:

The Team Leader is responsible for reviewing job requirements as listed on the job sheets and production schedule, and scheduling the work required so that the jobs will be completed in an efficient and timely manner, leading team employees in compliance with all safety, quality, quantity and housekeeping standards, and maintaining positive work relationships. This is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

• Review daily production schedule and plan work assignments to meet on-time shipping requirements. Lead employees in completing work assignments, ensuring completed product meets quality standards
• Follow established materials procedures, and orders materials as required to ensure production is completed on-time. Ensure quality workmanship during all phases of production.
• Cross trains associates within department to ensure on-time requirements can be met without loss of efficiency. Report promptly to department Supervisor when delays are expected. May be assigned to fill in for Supervisor when required
• Maintain and promote safe working environment and maintain appropriate housekeeping standards within department.
• Seek solutions to resolve compliance issues and or safety concerns
• Maintain positive customer, vendor, and coworker relationships.
• Cross training throughout the Production departments by assisting in all areas to achieve CIW/TCCI goals.
• Other tasks assigned.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of one year experience with Cornell Production Processes
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience in all job tasks and duties with assigned department.
• Ability to read production documents.
• Ability to identify different parts, products, etc.
• Ability to operator equipment such as forklift, electric pallet jack, crane, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of CornellCookson production and quality requirements and methods.
• Communicate well with associates as well as with external customers and Supervisors.
• Motivate others and project a positive attitude.
• Must be team orientated and demonstrate high levels of cooperation.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Understand and inspect blueprints/drawings
