Level 1 Production Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift - Monday to Friday - 7:00 am - 3:45 pm - $2,000 Sign-Up Bonus - No Weekend Work!

Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, inclusive of a $2,000 Sign-Up Bonus.

ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives and follows manufacturers' guidelines and specifications for maintaining, inspecting, repairing, and servicing MHE equipment.

  • Provides guidance and/or leadership to less experienced mechanics on more complex tasks when necessary.

  • Schedules planned maintenance on all equipment and performs assigned material handling equipment maintenance for operation.

  • Identifies, orders, and installs replacement parts required to complete routine maintenance repairs.

  • Provides accurate and timely data entry for work orders, and maintenance time sheets.

  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by following established safety procedures and quality standards.

  • Performs additional maintenance duties as required.

  • Promotes the MSC culture in the department and across the organization to ensure MSC's unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent is a mandatory requirement.

Technical certification is an added advantage.

A minimum of five years of job-related experience is necessary.

Five years of working experience in electrical, mechanical, and system diagnostics related to material handling equipment and various MHE equipment, including Raymond, Crown & Hyser, is mandatory.SKILLS:

Must comply with the disposal of DOT regulated items where required.

Basic computer skills (Excel/Word) are necessary.

Must acquire an MSC license to drive warehouse vehicles within the specified time frame.

Experience and working knowledge of conveyor systems and controls, plumbing, and HVAC are an added advantage.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bending to lift items from the floor and racks is a mandatory requirement.

Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds is necessary.

Ability to work at heights of up to 50 feet is necessary.

Ability to stand for extended periods is necessary.MISCELLANEOUS:

  • A valid state driver's license is a mandatory requirement.
