Capitol Aluminum & Glass Corp. is seeking a Project Estimator experienced in the building construction market. This position will primarily be responsible for preparing custom project estimates for aluminum window, door, curtainwall, and storefront systems. The ideal candidate must work well independently as well as in a team atmosphere working with multiple departments and have excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Prepares construction budgets & estimates from field surveys and by reviewing plans, specifications, & other construction documentation. Prepares RFI’s and take offs.
• Evaluates challenges that may not be on construction documentation and incorporates those into project budget.
• Manages pricing from all vendors and subcontractors to incorporate those into project budget.
• Follows up on bid results.

Qualifications:

• Degree in construction technology, business, engineering, or related field is desired, but not required
• Experience working in the construction industry
• 1-3 years of experience estimating
• Experience with construction drawings and specifications
• Microsoft Office
• Must have a valid driver’s license and subject to background checks per jobsite requirements
• AutoCAD experience desirable, but will train
