- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Two years demonstrated project management, event planning, direct youth services or administrative
experience - Proficient with technology, including use of Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Twitter and social media
- Bachelor’s Degree; Degree or coursework in Education or related field
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably with high school aged students
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Somali or Vietnamese
- Experience working in educational settings, preferably with high school aged students
- Experience working with first-generation college-bound students and their families from diverse
socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds - Knowledge of career exploration programs and job outlook for region
- Customer service and networking experience

Highline Public Schools is seeking a Promise Scholars Specialist to join the College & Career Readiness team!
SUMMARY: The Promise Scholars Specialist plays a critical role in fulfilling our mission of preparing all students for postsecondary and career success. The Promise Scholars specialist will support 10th and 11th grade selfidentified male/non-binary students of color in their post-secondary exploration and identity development process. This position will be campus-based conducting direct service with program scholars. The Specialist will provide case management support to scholars and their families, execute post-secondary exploration and career workshops, engage with King County Promise and districtwide college and career exploration events and programs.
Please note: This position will report onsite at Highline High School .
