Join Lifesteps team as a Public Relations Representative!

Lifesteps, a local non-profit agency based in Butler, is currently recruiting for a Public Relations Representative to work at our office in Butler, PA . This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening or weekend work for special events or fundraising events.
The Public Relations Representative plays an important role in fundraising and public relations by working to strengthen donor relationships and achieve the organization's annually established fundraising goals.
The Public Relations Representative will assist with coordinating special events and fundraisers, including planning, logistics and outreach to current and prospect donors to secure funds to support the Agency. The position also works to maintain the donor files through a database, generate reports, create and process donation acknowledgements and thank you letters, public relations, media engagement and other projects as assigned.
In addition, the Public Relations Representative will help share Lifesteps mission by representing the Agency at events and engage staff and donors. This includes assisting with volunteer engagement, expo/fair coordination, and Agency history and photography as needed.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma with 2 years of non-profit development, sales, communication, or public relations experience
• Associate degree (preferably in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a similar major) with one year experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, or a similar major) - preferred
• Advanced computer skills with expertise using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, and Excel)
• Excellent verbal communication and in writing, editing, proofreading
• Must have valid Drivers License and proof of auto insurance
