Receiving Coordinator - 2nd shift - Up to $20.75 plus $1.00 shift premium
Job description
As a Receiving Coordinator, you will be responsible for receiving, un-packing and recording incoming materials. To be successful in this role, it is important that you are organized and detail oriented. Our customer’s products are delivered directly into your hands and it’s critical for you to keep accurate records. Our customers and our business depends on you.
How you’ll contribute to our company:
- Organize orderly movement of incoming shipments into unloading area
- Compare shipping documents to ensure complete information with receiving material and identification to ensure accuracy
- Inspect material for transit damage and defects
- Compare shipment documents to PO through AS 400 system to assure compliance
- Unload material from carrier to receiving area
- Perform all incoming inspection (visual, gauge, width, coil measurements, hardness if required, proper banding)
- Enter material information into AS 400 receiving system and ensure compliance with PO
- Generate inventory tag; confirm accuracy; tag and identify material
- Place material into storage and ensure proper, safe storage
- Train new employees in all aspects of receiving operation, safety, quality and productivity
- Assist other personnel when needed in storage areas and with material flow
- Communicate non-compliance material or problems to supervisor and/or shift lead

Here’s what is needed to be successful:
- Ability to perform receiving inspection, material identification through AS 400 receiving menu, and handling storage of incoming material to ensure compliance with ordered specifications
- Ability to use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
