What You Will Contribute to Altos
We have an opportunity available for a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join a highly collaborative, innovative lab focused on tackling key questions in aging, injury and neurodegenerative conditions. The right person will work both independently and collaboratively with Altos researchers. Responsibilities include:
- Culturing and maintaining mammalian cell lines.
- Reviewing research activities to determine where new information, methods, or collaborations could positively impact projects and improve efficiency of processes.
- Interfacing on a regular basis with lead scientific staff to present, organize, coordinate, and execute experimental work.
- Presenting own research updates with other team members.
Who You Are
The right candidate will possess the following skills and experience. The level of the position will depend on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, neuroscience, regenerative medicine or related discipline.
- 2+ years of practical cell culture experience in an academic, medical or pharmaceutical research environment.
- Experience with maintaining and implementing cell culture experiments.
- Highly organized, meticulous attention to detail and self-motivated.
- Flexible with the ability to multitask and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
- High level of computer literacy to maintain electronic records.
- Strong communication skills, with proven ability to work with diverse and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with iPSC, especially with neural differentiation work.
- Experience with maintaining multiple cell lines simultaneously.
- 1+ year of rodent handling experience.
Salary range: Research Associate I, 83,300-112,700; Research Associate II, 97,750-132,250; Senior Research Associate, 109,650-148,350
