Lakewood Health System's Behavioral Health Unit ("Reflections") has an opening for a full or part time Registered Nurse (RN)!

The RN in the Behavioral Health Unit is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, environment / instrumentation, and other health care team members. This RN will perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, formulate a goal directed plan of care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team and implement the care plan in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.

The full-time position would work 64 - 80 hours per pay period working the NOC 12-hour shifts with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. Shift differential pay is applicable.

The part-time position would work 32-63 hours per pay period working the NOC 12-hour shifts with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. Shift differential pay is applicable.

1. Current MN RN licensure.

2. Experience in psychiatric care, geriatrics, or previous work with dementia preferred

3. Knowledge of the nursing process, pharmacology and medical procedures which may be encouraged in the program

4. Communication skills

5. Commitment to continued professional growth

6. Ability to adapt and promote positivity and compliance during progressive change

7. Ability and willingness to work in the role of Charge Nurse and provide oversight and direction to guide care provided by all direct care staff during the shift
