Job Description: This position works under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and assures provision of care to the assigned patient population in a professional manner, utilizing the nursing process and principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for 1) the supervision of all Acute Care and ER staff nurses 2) assignment of duties, 3) auditing of documentation 4) ensuring conformance with policies and procedures, 5) provision of training and competency of staff and 6) successful organizational and administrative operation in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. This position is mostly nights, but may have a varied schedule, works some weekends and administrative stand-by.

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional registered nursing. Current California RN license

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). TNCC certification.

Experience: A minimum of five years’ experience as an RN in an acute care setting. Two years’ leadership experience preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $65.00 - $73.00 per hour
