Purple Wave is recruiting for a motivated self-starter as a Scrum Master working with a team of highly motivated professionals in the Technology Team. This position is not a remote position and requires applicants to work from the Purple Wave Headquarters in Manhattan, KS. Compensation and benefits include: a salary, paid bi-weekly plus a monthly bonus plan, cell phone stipend, a 401(k) retirement plan, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, vacation and holiday pay.

Purple Wave is seeking a Scrum Master to be a servant leader for two Scrum teams. The ideal candidate will be someone who is always continuing to learn and apply new techniques, values Scrum Agile principles, and lives Scrum values. The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting on-site and hybrid teams as they focus on becoming high performing scrum teams. This is a full-time position, with no remote options available. We are a rapidly growing company that is early in our Agile transition. We believe in working in teams and practice radical candor. A successful candidate will be someone who is constantly improving themselves through reading about agility, listening to podcasts about agility, and learning from thought leaders in the field. We want someone who isn't looking for templates to follow rather a chance to help create a healthy culture that our teams will thrive in.

Responsibilities:

• Growing the team through servant leadership and creating an environment that will allow all team members to thrive.
• Supporting the team in the adoption, teaching, and ongoing improvement of Scrum practices.
• Guiding the team through retrospectives by creating engaging and unique retrospectives that will empower the team to engage in continuous improvement.
• Being a member of the team, not someone who manages the team - the team does not report to the Scrum Master.
• Supporting a hybrid team, and experience or willingness to learn to create an environment that will allow all team members to thrive regardless of location is required.
• Working with the team to continuously improve team dynamics and team culture.
• Facilitating Scrum events and removing any impediments that are blocking the team from achieving their goals.
• Fostering the team to make decisions within the team not outside.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• PSM or CSM is a plus but not required
