What we want: Red Door Collaborative seeks an experienced, detail oriented Senior Events Manager for an embedded consulting role with one of our tech clients in Redmond, WA. The role will manage, across the organization, events which can include tradeshows, internal and external events, in-person, plus hybrid (in-person + virtual) events. The candidate should have experience managing events, in technology, for a large company, corporation or equivalent total work experience.
This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Managing events and event coordination for a large organization.
- Working with main internal client and 2-3 external partners on joint events.
- Must be exceptional in events project management.
- Use best practices for events management.
- Reporting of progress on event planning and success metrics for events.
- Track budgets for the events.
- Ability to navigate both Microsoft and external resources for event planning and execution.
- Requires engagement with Azure PMMs, internal business owner, and external partners for joint events.
- Must be capable of enforcing event deadlines and working with internal and external stakeholders using strong soft skills.
- Will need to tactfully hold both external partner and Microsoft stakeholders accountable for deliverables so that events are ran well.
- Marketing and promotion of events.

- Experience in variety of events that can include tradeshow/booth, in-person, virtual, or hybrid events.
- Tactfulness and soft skills in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail.
- Cross-functional group coordination and collaboration.
- Desire and ability to learn quickly.
- Self-starter, working effectively independently and within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented, process-oriented, results-driven.

- Desire to learn other facets of marketing.
- Previous experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of event management experience.
- Experienced/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Job is remote but must be able to work Pacific Standard Time hours as client is on the West Coast.
- There may be some light travel needed for the events.
