Server Assistant
You are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are the hallmarks of our Food & Beverage experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings makes guests feel unique and valued.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Tables must be cleaned and reset in a timely manner. All items which are Server Assistant's responsibility must be kept in stock throughout the shift. Tables must be reset in the manner in which you are trained.

QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS

EDUCATION

High school diploma required and or related experience preferred.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Coffee and espresso machines. Bus cart, juice machine. Cleaning chemicals, broom, hot plates.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Long hours sometimes may be required. Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations. Must be able to maintain a level or organization and cleanliness.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag while working.

Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

Set up all tables in the dining room for appropriate shift.

Prepare iced tea, coffee, espresso, juice, hot chocolate.

Stock necessary equipment, including linen, china, glasses, cutlery, and supplies to maintain proper meal period table settings.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
