Dominican Village is a not-for-profit, senior living community and assisted living residence founded in 1992 by the sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, New York. Its mission is to provide a supportive environment in which the sacredness of life and the dignity of each person are held in the highest regard and to offer its residents a choice of programs and services which foster independence, promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, and maximize opportunities for socialization.
We are currently seeking Full and Part-Time Servers for our dining rooms to work during the week as well as during the weekend.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set and clear tables, take residents’ dining orders, and provide the highest level of customer service.
- Review menus with residents and acquaint new residents with dining at Dominican Village.
- Assist with delivery, and cleanup of daily meals, banquets, and special events.
- Create a strong sense of teamwork with your colleagues and positive relationships with residents.
- Clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room.
Qualifications:
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Effective verbal and written English skills
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- No experience needed
- On-the-job training – get paid to get trained!
Candidates must be punctual, reliable, and flexible to work additional hours/varying shifts as needed, and possess excellent customer service skills for interaction with residents and visitors.
