Job description

Since 2017, Just Compassion has partnered with the City of Beaverton to operate a severe weather shelter out of the Beaverton community center. In 2020, we worked with Community Action and the city to expand our operations to include a shelter run out of our resource center in Tigard. As of 2023, we operate two year-round . We are looking to hire for our Tigard location. Benefits available after 90-day introductory period.

We are seeking responsible, motivated, compassionate people to join our team! Positions start at $17.50/hr. +$1.00/hr shift differential for overnight.

OVERNIGHT (10:00pm-8:00am)

• Responsible for enforcing guest guidelines (including COVID-19 guidelines as set by State and Just Compassion).
• Responsible for supervising guests and responding quickly and appropriately to any potential issues or conflicts that may arise.
• Make any notes in the logbook overnight
• Prep breakfast for guests in the morning
• Ensure all laundry has been collected
• Ensure that guests are woken up at designated times and transitioned to breakfast.
• Ensure a clean and sanitary environment throughout the entire shelter.
• Staff must remain awake for the entirety of their shift.
• Additional tasks as assigned by our shelter coordinator.
