Overview

Empire Office is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in our Secaucus, NJ warehouse to join our growing team. This will be an administrative role within a warehouse setting and requires a highly organized individual with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office management systems. This individual will oversee the monitoring and documenting of all incoming and outgoing shipment in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document any changes or discrepancies with packages and products in a timely manner
  • Accept and accurately document packages and deliveries made to the warehouse
  • Provide general administrative office support to the warehouse team
  • Store items received in appropriate storage areas
  • Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
  • Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
  • Maintain an organized workspace

Skills & Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1-year administrative experience required
  • Prior furniture and/or dealership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Excel - including pivot charts and formulas
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Able to safely lift up to 30lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Secaucus, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
