Job description
Our company is helping the world's largest social network find a Silicon Performance Modeling Engineer to work on cutting edge, next generation technology.
In this role, you'll create a test-bench to automate performance validation of an SoC sub-system. You will also integrate System C components that support different flavors of TLM into Synopsys Platform Architect.
As a Silicon Performance Modeling Engineer, you'll:
- Performance modeling of IP components and modeling of SoC fabric and DRAM.
- Profile and extract system-usage behavior of workloads and design micro-benchmarks.
- Pre-silicon/post-silicon performance measurement, correlation and analysis.
- Identify and evaluate firmware/software optimization opportunities and solidify HW-SW co-design.
- Develop regression infrastructure and dashboarding capabilities.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science (Master's degree is preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in C++, System C and transaction level modeling (TLM 2.0)
- Experience with performance modeling and analysis for networks on chip (NoCs)
- Experience in custom IP block performance/power estimates
- Proficiency in writing, manipulating and maintaining scripts - Python or similar (Perl, bash/awk, Tcl)
- Experience in writing models using different flavors of TLM, especially, Synopsys’ Fast timed (FT) flavor
- Experience building TLM 2.0 interfaces to support open core protocol (OCP) and multi-beat protocols like AXI
- Experience with performance/functional verification test benches
Nice to Have Skills:
- MSEE/CS or equivalent experience
Commitment: This is a full-time, 9-month contract position. This position will be remote and available to candidates who are local to the Los Angeles, CA areas.
