Snr. Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a Sr. Maintenance Engineering Supervisor responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the maintenance and tool room departments across three shifts. Will provide technical support to a group of multi-function skilled trade employees (mechanical and electrical) in an area of work which involves the repair, maintenance and improvement of manufacturing process equipment and building/site needs. Identifying and executing sustainable improvements to production equipment, maintenance & building systems. The candidate will be responsible for developing procedures/processes to increase reliability of the overall manufacturing processes and building operations. Will represent the maintenance department in cross-functional team problem-solving and equipment improvement/upgrade activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises multi-craft tradesmen effectively
- Develops, adheres to, and reinforces safe working practices
- Follows-up with vendors and contractors on maintenance issues
- Manages emergency repairs to production and facility equipment
- Manages assigned projects to drive sustainable improvements in production equipment reliability/performance, building/site infrastructure systems, and maintenance team operational effectiveness
- Performs equipment/system failure RCM and RCA
- Ability to read and interpret OEM equipment manuals and schematics
- Implements and supports continuous improvement projects
- Creates standardized work for maintenance tasks
- Sets and tracks KPI’s for maintenance operations
- Reviews and improves maintenance procedures, PM tasks, and opportunistic maintenance activities
- Identifies and prioritizes spare parts needs
- Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Uses predictive technologies to drive uptime and improve the maintenance system and tracks improvement in MTTR, and MTBF and OEE
- Periodically reports progress and status on assigned projects to plant leadership
- Effectively utilizes computerized maintenance management systems (SAP PM)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Skills & Experience:
- 4-6 years of applicable maintenance and leadership experience.
- CAD Experience is a plus
- Dynamic leadership skills
- Familiar with maintenance best practices
- Effective project management skills
- Working knowledge of heavy industrial or manufacturing plant processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the plant
- Working knowledge and understanding of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Project)
Travel:
- Ability to travel up to 10%
