The Beta Sole Foundation is a non-profit centered on helping underprivileged students through on mentorship programs, skill building workshops, and scholarships. It just so happens, that The Beta Sole Foundation is looking to fill the position of Social Media and Marketing Executive. We are specifically searching for individuals who have strong people skills and a charismatic personality. Ideally, the right person would have a degree in Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, or Sales. The perfect candidate would be someone who is persistent, fearless, and always looking for new ways to promote the organization. An individual who is independently motivated and does not need to be micromanaged is key to success.
To be considered for the position, we ask that you provide a current social media link, considering one must be fully capable and adept at utilizing technology and social media to further the platform for our organization. The job will consist of assisting in the management and execution of our main projects, and forging new paths for future opportunities.
An individual chosen for this role will be tasked with Social Media Management, Promotional Modeling for new products and launches, venture philanthropy projects, non-profit programming, community outreach, charitable giving, grant writing, event planning, general office work, and creating the organization’s press releases. Some travel (with appropriate notice) may be required for this position. We are looking for individuals with strong social skills to attend political or social events on behalf of the foundation, and with powerful networking abilities to aid in procuring volunteers and building partnerships.
Compensation:
Pay is dependent upon skill set, with a minimum $20 per hour + 401K Match, bonuses and stipends- (lunch, beauty, gym, health), may be potential other perquisites available depending on need and skill set. Above Market Bonuses are available (to be paid on a monthly basis) for projects including but not limited to: promotional modeling, successful presentations to corporate donors or grantors, successful completion of important projects, new ideas that are implemented and further the success of the non-profit.
Skills Recommended:
+ College Degree in Marketing or Sales (completed or in final year of school)
+ Broad knowledge of social media marketing platforms.
+ Ability to write and edit content for different platforms such as social media, website, and press releases.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Adobe Creative Suite (not required but a plus)
+ Organizational skills – Ability to organize and coordinate events.
+ Research and Analytical abilities.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Public speaking and presentation skills.
+ Grant writing skills are a plus for this position.
