Job Summary
Assist the Public Safety Fiscal Administrator with budget preparation and fiscal monitoring for the Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center (CRC). Enter operating and capital budget requests into Sherpa and prepare supplemental budget schedules. Assist in fiscal monitoring of all operations for the CRC and recommend resource allocations and corrective actions. Meet with County Board, committees and outside agencies.
Job Responsibilities
· Annual Budget Preparation - Assistthe Public Safety Fiscal Administrator in annual operating and capital budget preparation. Enter requests into Sherpa and prepare supplemental budget schedules.
· Fiscal Monitoring - Assistthe Public Safety Fiscal Administrator in fiscal monitoring of all operations for the CRC and recommend resource allocations and corrective actions.
· Prepare Reports & Transfers for County Board & Committees - Prepare appropriation transfer requests and reports including fiscal notes and resolutions for contracts and ongoing operations for County Board and Standing Committees.
· Monitor and Maintain Grant Management - Provide management and processing of all CRC grants. Interface with funding sources and provide all information required for reimbursement. Responsible for annual single audit process.
· Represent CRC with County Departments & OutsideAgencies - Serve as a representative of the CRC in meetings with other County departments and outsideagencies.
· Interface with Internal & External Auditors - Serve as a representative of the CRC with all internal and external auditors. Attend audit reviews, respond to audit findings and implement corrective actions.
· CRC Purchasing - Approve all purchases under $1,000 and make sure all purchases have the correct coding.
· Ability to properly or safely operate: telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, printers and computers.
· Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 10 lbs.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, License/Certification and Experience
· Current residency within the State of Wisconsin required
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field required
· Five (5) years or more of work experience in Budget Preparation, Fiscal Analysis, Accounting or Finance required
· Advanced knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams required
